When the Mowing Gets Tough

Every once in awhile, something comes along that is truly revolutionary and this week's topic is right in that wheelhouse.  If you have read this blog for long, you know I have a deep fascination for anything that can revolutionize the world of a person with disability, disease or just elderly AND that is also a technological leap forward.  So, with that in mind, say hello to the Spider Slope Care remote control lawnmower.

Lawnmowing meets the Jetsons (old cartoon for the younger readers) in this nifty remote-controlled mini-tank.  Powered by a Kawasaki engine on the larger two models, the Spider has plenty of horsepower to tackle any job.  However, if it does happen to meet its match, like a slope of 55 degrees, it also has a wench to pull itself up a 55-degree incline that none of us mere mortals could do.
The remote has a range of 500-700 feet which is 165 - 230 yards.  Truly amazing.  In other words, you can sit in one location and mow a very large yard without relocating.

For the handicapped outdoorsman that doesn't want to give up the immediate satisfaction of mowing their own yard, this could be just the tool that is needed.  Pricing was not readily available, but there is contact info on their website.
